The Power of Posters
This is a visual essay exploring how design in Cuba shifted alongside cultural and political changes before and after the Cuban Revolution. Through research and design, I developed a monograph comparing the sleek, Western-influenced designs of pre-revolutionary Cuba with the bold, silkscreened graphics of the revolution. I focused on how shifts in ideology directly impacted visual language. The project highlights how design evolves in response to its purpose, demonstrating the relationship between aesthetics, messaging, and historical context.
